St. Simon’s Hospital offers primary and specialist consultation as part of our outpatient service offering. Our courteous and professional front desk executives are always ready to assist you with your queries and requests and also to direct you to the various service centres where service is expedited.
The outpatient department is the first point of contact for the majority of patients entering the hospital and provides patients with their first impression as they seek services at the hospital. A patient’s history and vital signs of blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate and temperature are obtained and documented. The staff includes a gynecologist/obstetric specialist, medical officers, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, ward aides, and orderlies.
Similar to other units at the hospital, the OPD offers a 24-hour service and is open throughout the week. With the exception of optical and auditory diseases, a variety of cases are seen by OPD practitioners. The services provided include triaging, general medical, surgical and gynecological consultations, health education, and wound dressings.
